I would never use vision for venomous. I had a look on mine and shut closed and one of my gophers got out. I like glass a lot more than anything else.

You're absolutely right, good point. That's why I only keep larger snakes in them Gabbys, Puffs, Rhinos etc..
I kept a pair of Sawscales in them but put foam rubber where the glass overlaps to prevent them from slipping out. I was VERY uneasy with them in there, so I now have them in the Precision which I consider as escape proof as they get.

Al,
I have a hard time just working with my snakes in those cages. I like to be above the snake i am working with. Those vision I think can be dangerous. The snake can hide and then you are screwed when the get you. I will probaly stick with glass when I get some coppers and moccasins. I am right now working on snake proofing a room in my basement for the copperhead I really want to get.

How do you like the Precision cage as far as overhead heating goes and the quality of the cage?
I was on the site and interested in them not sure tho about a bulb in the cage in contact with the snake.
