My copperhead only eats lizards and I want it to eat mice. I've tried a lot of things, does anyone have any suggestions?

you could try
- scenting the mouse
- cutting the mouse’s nose ( I know its grouse but it sometimes works)
- putting a cut or scented mouse ( or many both) in a small dark container ( use extreme caution putting the snake in....lol)
-feeding a small lizard and then follow it with a mouse
those are some I know of, I am sure others will have more ideas

Hey Kyle, Just keep offering it different size mice or rats. I had a copperhead that at first would only eat fence lizards but I kept buying it mice for the heck of it and he took one sooner or later. Copperheads, in my oppinion arent stubborn feeders, but some require more patience then others. Next pring or summer you can come up here and catch copperheads. Theyre all over the place and about 80 percent of them are excellent feeders.

I think I may have found one tip for my stubborn neo copperhead. I bought some mice to breed and after about a week placed a small amount of dirty litter in the tank. The snake really got hungry and after cleaning the tank the next day I gave him a nice size tree frog in the PM. In the past he would bite the frogs and let them melt away but this time results= tree frog 0, snake 1.
I am far from an expert but one other thing I did was remove some crickets I had in the tank. I think these snakes, especially new born get uneasy-w-too much activity in the tank. Now it is all alone and seems much more comfortable? Hopefully I will have some fresh pinkies soon for him to dine on.
Even though they are small I beleive they could eat a fuzzy after being born. The mouth is huge and if they are hungry and feeding OK they will win you a bet on how big a rodent they can consume. My Ball Python would eat huge rats and being the venom melts down the tissue I think a hot would do even better.
