I think I found the answer...
People that keep medically significant Scorpions. I payed a visit to a Scorpion forum tonight. Some of their ranks "free handle" Death Stalkers, The most dangerious Scorpions on the planet. At least you have a chance to get A/V if bitten by a Hot Herp. I really doubt there's serum readily available in the US. Miami Dade stocks some for Parabuthus but not Leiurus quinquestriatus. Yikes!! Real dare devils!

What are worst than bees are yellow jackets. I was herping down in the okefenokee and got to close to a nest. Bad mistake they stug me five times. I felt like hot neddles stabing you. The worst feeling to date. It hurt for 4-5 days after. I have worked with scorpiens but nothing that dangerous.

I've had plenty of run-ins with bees & hornets..
I was flipping logs at a very populayed timber rattlesnake densite on May and flipped over a log to find white faced hornets...I did not care about all the rattles around...I beat feet!!!
Best,
Al

Chuck:
Yes, they have a small yield. I was just making the point that It's a Medically significant and has caused and could potientally cause death. It should not be "feehandled" anyway.
