Hi all:
I make the suggestion that the "Anoymous posting" option be discontinued because of abuse. Like types seen in Jims post regarding Austin Stevens. How can we be taken seriously with infantile posts to serious issues. I have only seen the "anoymous" option used once in a justifyable instance. All the other were to abuse someone or everyone.
This is not restricting free speech, it's just making the speakers accountable for the content.

I would have to agree with Phobos in many ways but the webmasters seem to be very quick at removing the bad posts. The one being complained about has already been removed, good job WM. Personally I think people should stand up and acknowledge what they stand for and not post anonymous but then there may be instances where someone could really need that for whatever reason. So I guess it is often good to hear what others have to say even if they don't have the want to let you know who they are. So maybe things will be said through anonymous that wouldn't be said otherwise.
I do think that the webmasters should have a way to ban those who abuse those rights and let everyone know who really posted anonymous. If someone writes a bunch of junk like the previous guy did that was irrelevant and disgusting, then I think the webmasters should be able to ban those people or at least let us know who really said that stuff. Then that would affect their reputation and credibility on future subjects and be a large embarrassment.
But all things considered, I think the forum is doing fine as it is. This is a minor problem that isn't a necessity but is a good topic to bring up and discuss.

TO WEBMASTER:
Look, I understand why the anonimous obscene topics were deleted but I`m just curious, why were my two other posts(I still have one on the topic that hasn`t been deleted) on the Austin Stevens topic deleted? I had no obscenity in them and nothing that could ever lead to obscenity. I realy don`t see the reason why my posts had to be deleted.
And I also don`t see the reason why the anonimous post, with the bushmaster, urutu and hook polishing was deleted. Because it mentioned having sex? the person who wrote it didn`t use any faul language, did he/she ? I thought that stuff was pretty good, I don`t know your opinions. Oh...well, I found out that comunism exists in the united states as well.(doesn`t exist here anymore, not since `89). Just my 2 cents. Alex S.

Alex:
I have no idea why your posts were removed. From all the posts I've read of yours I have not seen anything that was not strictly business. Write the webmaster diectly to see if you can find out.
As for communism here..I don't think putting that label on it is correct, since all forms of govenment and organizations do restrict speech at times. I consider it as an equal opportunity form of oppression.
I'm not calling for anything like that at all. I stand against sensorship in any form. If anyone wants to make an ass of themself, go right ahead but they should identify themselves properly if they want to in this medium. That's all I request.
Best,
Al

Anonymous posting should stay. Anonymous posting is not a trolling option. Anonymous posting allows those who don't wish to have their statements known.
This isn't the Senate. It's not like this place is "all important" that we need to know who each and every person that posts here is. Ah-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha, Ah-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha!
The Anonymous option stays.......says I.

The anonymous guy was being very disgusting and not making any sense. He was only trying to get people upset and cause trouble by being a moron. And you don't go to the Yangtse river in China to catch an Urutu. The Urutu is Bothrops alternatus and they are found in southeastern South America.
Communism is not in the U.S. It is the WM right to delete anything he wants to from their forum. So don't get all offended as if freedom of speech is limited here. Communism is a word that too many people fear who don't understand what it means.
I am not a fan of communism. It is a nice idea but it doesn't work. But I also don't go blaming it for unrelated problems either.

WHY CAN'T WE ALL JUST GET ALONG?! Just kidding. I think we should be "cool", though. I watched another forum fall apart because of some idiots with attitudes. This forum is awesome, we shouldn't let a few imbeciles screw it up. There's my cents.

I know Bothrops alternatus is the Urutu and that it lives in S. America and not Asia and the guy/gal said that. He said he realised it didn`t live there so he went to S. America. I know he was desgusting at first but then it was pretty cool and poetic, I realy belive so. I just asked why my posts were deleted, I didn`t offend any one by asking a question, did I? Censuring some ones opinion is comunism in my point of view. I realy don`t apreciate your agressive aproaches. Oh..and by the way, I think that anonimous posts should stay. Peace to every one.
