Hi everyone, So.....What does everyone here do when the cold seasons hit? I want to go to south Florida sometime this winter. Would it be warm down there around December and January?

It just depends on the cool fronts. You could hit highs in the mid 70s or be in the middle of a cold front that has it in the 40s at night and 50s to 60s in the day. Just depends on how much old man winter wants the good folk of s. FL to put on.. It's kinda unpredictable.

I used to live in the Big Cypress Swamp, around Everglades city. The herping is still decent in the winter. It stays warm year round down there. You should be able to find some things. And you won't be over-welmed with mosquitos like you would if you went in the summer. Drop me another e-mail if you start to finalize your plans and I'll share a few good roads. Just be careful down there, the people out in the boonies can be pretty tough on outsiders.
