they are the most danger spider, folowed by phoneutria, loxoceles and latrodectus species. phoneutria fera, p. reidyi,p. nigriventer, p. keyserlingi, p. pertyi, loxoceles gaucho, l. laeta and l. intermedia are the dangerous south american species. phoneutria has neurotoxins, painfull bite and can be letal. loxoceles dont have painfull bite but causes an enormous wound (necrosis), may kill children, old people and allergic people.

Thanks everyone for all the information. I have concluded that one of the funnel webs are the most toxic and it appears to be the Paper bark funnel web. Thanks for all the information, as I have learned a lot from you guys and from doing research on this subject. Thanks,

Hi Michiganman,
Do you have any evidence for daddy long legs being the most toxic? To my knowledge, there has never been a single study done on their venom. It appears it is an urban myth that they are the most toxic, started by someone with no comprehension of venoms: the 'logic' used was that since daddy long legs feed on black widows, they must be more toxic in order to overcome the black widow venom. It of course doesn't work this way.

The Daddy Longlegs myth has been abound for years. And it is simply that, a myth, an urban legend. I've often found it funny (perhaps not all that funny)how some people are so into their own specific type of animal, but all too willing to take anything they hear about other species at face value.
