Everything you ever wanted to know about Agkistrodon and then sum. First off I have not read the entire book. I did read and reread the section on Agkistrodons Native to U.S. The book has tons of good info. Most helpful if you are trying to find coppers and cottons as well as a lot about feeding habits, especially what the babies and neonates were found to feed on(this info can be invaluable to anyone with a problem feeder). Needless to say this is very useful to a herper who has attained said animal. It has a really good breakdown of species and subspecies of Agkistrodon genus. I would recommend it for anyone that is serious about working with or keeping Any member of this genus.Cottons, coppers, cantils, asian species, and even the deinagkistrodon. I am probably leaving out a bunch of other good stuff as well. One word of warning. This is not the most thrilling book to read. It is a scientific journal so to speak. The info is great and if you are interested it is worth the price. It also contains drawings and color plates of the diffrent members of the genus.
That's my .02 cents

I have the book and can tell you that if there is anything you want to know about any Agkistrodon, you will find it in this book.
One of the best books I ever bought (on snakes).

PS This is the review I wrote about it in the "Reviews" section:
This book is still available through Larry Kenton at Maryland Reptile Farm for $65.

It is, without a doubt, the most thorough review of any species that I have ever seen. Provides more information on any given Agkistrodon than anything else available.
