Hi again. I just wanted to say that my Pope finaly ate. I`ve been keeping it for 3 months and 2 days ago it finaly ate, a live mouse at night. I didn`t try tease feeding, I preffer offering live prey to my snakes. this is a great weight lifted of my chest. I wanna thank everyone for the tips they gave me on feeding it. Cheers

Congratulations. I have to say, though, that your preference for feeding your snakes live prey can hurt your collection. I don't see the benefit of feeding a live rodent to a snake that cost a very appreciable amount of money, considering that the rodent might well either permanently scar or kill the snake. This is especially true in light of how darn easy it is to get most snakes to readily accept dead prey.

Thats great!!! They love European mice, guess because they small like sour milk, like most Europeans.

The mouse I fed the viper with was to small to be able to harm the snake. I had on one ocasion, 4 years ago,a dead adder as a result of a hamster. I only feed my snakes while I`m wathcing so I can intervene if something starts to go wrong. Thanks for the advice anyway.
