Perhaps someone can explain to me why my post from the Advice about a Pen thread was removed?
Perhaps the post was too critical of Al?
Perhaps Karl wasn't happy because I said his cages are too heavy?
So it is okay to take newbys to task about snakes we don't even know if they own but uh uh no calling out the experts on the lack of advice they give?
I would like to know exactly what was said that didn't meet the TOS of this forum.

AnonEmouse,
I think I'm going to have to do something about all of these posts being deleted. The rest of the site managers will have to stay in other areas of the site. I think that myself, Karl Betz, and Thomas Eimermacher are the only ones that need to be deleting posts.
The rules here are: Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but they aren't allowed to "call names" or make slanderous accusations.
That's simple isn't it.

Well Chris, I agree with you and the person above. I am posting anonymous because I want no trouble with other sight members. I have a hard time with Al (PHobos). He gives good info, but very quick to judge and or correct someone because they may have a differnt view on things. Also, I have noticed that there are alot of rude comments still on this sight that have not been deleted, that were remarks towards other members. I feel that Al likes to stir the pot of Poop if you know what I mean. He is a very outspoken person on here. I feel the threads that are policed are not being policed enough. Also, I dont like Al telling people that he has the authority to delete post when HE wants to. This sight was a better place before Al was given some kind of authority. Concerened Member.

Ahh...another anonymous post who can't put their name to what they write. I am entitled to my views since this is a public forum and will continue to post them. If you call bringing reckless acts to everyones attention stirring "the pot", so be it, maybe the pot needed to be stirred. My views are not in line with the "Status-quo" I've seen here and on other websites. Too bad! I am for responsable, safe keeping and handling of venomous reptiles. With all the bites and subsequent state bans in the works somebody had to speak up. The status-quo was not helping our hobby. Some states are considering revising their regulations and not for the good of Hot herpers.
You're part of the problem if your not part of the solution.

I am with Al on this one. If you have a problem with him, contact him off line if its personal, if it’s a public display, at least have the courage to tell him who you are. I recently strongly disagreed with the man, and I told him. Doesn’t mean he and I now enemies. I’ll be happy to shake his hand and have dinner with him again this year in SC. Adults can disagree and still get along.
Chris, I would hate to see any of our powers limited, I think I am the only one looking thru here during the day most of the time. There is only 6 or us other then you, should be pretty easy to deduct who did what. I can pretty easily recall the posts I have deleted, just send a group email and ask who/why? I doubt any of us would lie about it.

I guess my question wasn't really all that clear.
I would like to know who deleted my post and why?
It did not call anyone names. It did call into question various people's abilities to answer the questions asked and their abilities to deduce information about posters from thin air.
Al, if your "views are not in line with the "Status-quo" I've seen here and on other websites" then maybe you should consider the views of the people whose website you are using?
I have been part of the solution since way before you came along. Just because you do not know my name does not change that fact. In fact, try a search of AnonEMouse on this and other sites. You might be surprised. Then again, so might I.
Chuck, I responded in a thread here to several posts made by Al. He posted his opinions here - so did I. Mine were based in reality and his were based on conjecture. Doesn’t mean he and I are enemies. I just believe he is rabidly driving people away from the site and the hobby. His posts stayed up and mine went away. So only the moderators here are allowed to disagree with other people's posts? Really!?

I DID ask who deleted my post and why. So far no-one has answered up. I never said anyone lied about it. But no-one has had the nerve to say "You hurt my feelings so in a fit of anger I removed your post."
Adult disagreements are only possible between adults.

Well, I can assure you that I didn’t delete it. =) I hit brother Al pretty hard about how he was broaching certain subjects. I didn’t always think he was wrong in his opinions, but I agree with you….the way he comes across discourages membership and questions. Since the flair up over Philip and Jeremy and the king cobra, Al has been a little more tactful in addressing things. He is going to always be up tight and lecture people and I am going to always be live and let live, so we’ll never see eye to eye, but we are a part of the same community and I think we will always share a sense of brotherhood, regardless of our disagreements.
