The 3 sub-species of Cobras found in India
1)Spectacled Cobra-Naja naja
2)Monocled Cobra-Naja kaouthia
3)Black Cobra-Naja oxiana.

there are 4 species of true cobras and one false cobra
they r
spectacled cobra(naja naja)
monocle cobra(naja kauthia)
central asian cobra(n. oxiana)
andaman cobra (naja sp)

In addition to the 4 species of true Naja cobras and one false cobra, let us not forget Ophiophagus hannah, the King Cobra. JohnZ

its true but king cobras (o hannah) are not true cobras.. there are only 4 species of cobras.

its true but false cobras are not true cobras.. there are only 4 species of cobras. And you were the one to bring up animals that are not cobras first!
