I think that the musk of the Ringneck is toxic to Coral Snakes.I know the only time I tried feeding a ringneck to a coral I dropped the ringneck in with the coral and an hour later the coral and ringneck were dead.Hope this helps,Trey.

Ringneck Snakes ( Diadophis ) are a rear-fanged ( opisthoglyphous ) colubrid snake that secretes a venom from their Duvernoy's Gland. These venoms contain many compounds, including proteins and enzymes, and are not well researched. Some of these toxic compounds might also be present in the skin of these snakes. When one of these snakes is eaten by a coral snake or other predator, it is possible that these venoms, even though not injected, could prove to be toxic to the predator. JohnZ
