Please take a moment to think about things before you post or respond to a post.
If someone posts anonymously, and their post is derogatory, the best course of action is to completely ignore the post. In those cases, it is obvious that the person posting anonymously does not have the background or fortitude to stand behind what they think they have to say. I try to remove blatant posts of this sort if the follow-on thread is not too far gone when I catch it. This often results in some confusion as posts which only respond to the anonymous post and not the actual thread also get removed. It is much easier if everyone just ignores the poster and only their post gets removed.
HOWEVER, this is not absolutely always the case.
There are a few people here, who post anonymously because, for various reasons of their own, they have information to share which they are not supposed to give out due to their position/job/etc.
These posts are also usually easy to pick out and are usually not derogatory in manner.
LASTLY, to those folks who post anonymously.
Our system does not differentiate between one anonymous poster and another. If you choose to post anonymously, regardless of your reasoning, your post will not be distinguishable from the anonymous poster who is a bonafide troll (and we certainly have plenty of those). Two people posting anonymously in the same thread can appear to be the same poster just as one person posting more than once in a thread can appear to be separate persons.
Please, don't feed the trolls and don't be over inflammatory towards each other.
