Hi guys, just wanted to tell you all about this weekend. I got a call on saturday from a friend of mine who is in construction. He started out by saying that he was helping renovate an old gutted hotel in Joshua Tree California. Well, he explained that his workers had found a great big rattle snake and couldn't identify it. the work crew of course didn't want any thing to do with this animal so that's where I came in. I went out there after talking with my friend and collected the snake. It was about a four foot Southwestern Speckled rattlesnake. It seemed like this was a very old snake and I was glad that no one on the crew had gotten the idea to kill it. This just goes to show that not all of the people who are afraid of snakes are willing to just kill them. I have pictures and will try to post them. I had never seen a Speckled that big before. It sure gives one a good feeling to do something like this. The snake was relocated to remote desert location that not too many people frequent. I use this part of the desert to shoot on and have seen few people. I just thought everyone would like this story because it has a happy ending and sometimes these situations end trajically.

Not a wonderful pic is it? I have others just need to download them from the camera. As for the tube socks comment, Al, next time get your old lady to dress you for photos that others will see. We are challanged in the wardrobe area. Mine did for this one and no tube socks.
