do hognoses produce an anti coagulant in there saliva or are they venomous if so how is it deliverd into prey item is there any way of stoppiing them from rubbing there noses tryed a larger viv. no joy even considering down sizing as go two in a 3ftlong by 1.5 ft wide 18inch height . reason for question is one had a bit of a "chew"on my right thumb that bled for ages and also a small amount of swelling occured very minor though dont want my son who loves all reps he is three and can id some snakes already but curiosity is his main problem i dont want him scared before he gets the chance to see if he wants to be a herp lets all help him all replies appreciated

Yes I also read an article on this and saw pictures too. There was definately swelling in the picture, not alot but it was noticeable.
