My little brother is starting to keep corn snakes. He asked me if the site Rodentpro was a good site to get mice from. I want to know if anyone uses this site to get rats and mice from.

Not as far as I know, but if he's going to keep more than a few snakes then frozen is the way to go anyway. I've also been very happy with Roden Pro. If he needs live it would probably be cheaper to find a local breeder or breed his own.

I've been using Rodentpro for awhile.I'd recomend them to anyone, both for price and quality. But as with most things, it works out best with large quantities. If he is only keeping a couple snakes it might be better to just go to the local pet store.Just a few mice wouldn't be worth it once you pay for shipping. But if he has alot of snakes or wants a years supply for a good price, then Rodentpro is the way to go.Also make sure your snakes will take F/T food before you go buy a bunch. Kevin,
The best places to find your "live" prey items would be at your local mom&pop pet shops. Don't bother with PetSmart...they won't sell prey items, unless you're looking for crickets or feeder fish. Where in MD are you?

Well, well, well..... If it isnt Kevin, the gaboon keeper. Have you seen any more gaboons in Africa lately?? Hmmmmm, you see them all the time in Africa, never seen one feed, but have felt its bite. Im sure a gaboon could kill a mouse or rat easily." This is his quote from the gaboon article on this websight. I guess you have been in Africa studying the gaboons huh Kevin my boy.

frozen is the best way to go unless u intend to breed your own as most pet shops are anti rodent killers(surprisingly) after a few visits and then changing your hobby from mice to rats and beyond will only sirr up intrest from the humane brigade snakes kill to live and i think we should make the choice but at the present time if they will eat frozen do it try exposing the brain of the dead animal or any other blood refuge this can get stubborn corns to eat some need toi be left overnight u cant do this with live mice as they can and will and have badly bitten snakes in captivity the last is when u can try a chick head or if the corn in question is big enough try the whole chick hope this helps my best corn refuses all dead mice rats etc. but loves to stuff itself with a chick legs can work for smaller snakes. keyz
