I read the article on the site about possession of the Eastern Diamondback, Timber Rattler, etc. in NC, but did not see any mention of non-indiginous venmomous reptiles being restricted. Is it legal to privately own a Western Diamondback in NC? Please excuse my ignorance.

Of this moment you can keep any venomous snake in NC. Soon they are trying to pass a law not allowing venomous snakes in NC execept natives. But the only catch is that everything native except the cottonmouth and the copperhead is protection because of state endangerment.
