Hi Paul:
As was suggested it could be paracytes but lets look at the other possibilities I can think of first.
If your feeding live mice, try down sizing to the next smallest size, maybe feeding more often with smaller meals will work. If your feeding FT mice do the same and make sure it's really thawed well.
Enviromental: Rhinos stress out very very easy. The less you disturb them the better they do. Don't over heat them, as mine has never been seen anywhere near the cages "hot spot" They prefer it cool, 70's and not much hotter, even in the winter here in Pennsylvania. Keep it moist in the enclosure by misting once a day, they are semi-aquatic in the wild.
Back to the Paracyte issue: It's possible that this could be the cause but less likley since it's a CB animal. Collect a stool sample (moist and fresh) and take it to the local Vet. for evaluation. The drug of choise for most intestinal worms is Pancur 50mg/kg. Accurate weight of the Rhino is important, so you get the right dosage. You can contact me directly if it comes to this option.
Good Luck,
Al
