Works for me. And perhaps I have “learnt alot” from your posts. Who knows? Learning is a never ending process and I learn new things everyday, I make it a point to. Sad to say that over the past few months though there has not been enough on the forum to "learn" anything from though, and barely enough to make the trips here worthwhile any more.
However, I'd be most interested in perusing your scientific peer-reviewed publications first before any books as I find that I can "learn" more from these than from general books, unless of course you plan on piecing something together on the magnitude of say a Minton, Campbell & Lamar, Conant, Gloyd, Klauber, or something along those lines then I will wait for a spell.
But seriously man. What's the point of knocking someone else’s endeavors? They do what they do, and you do what you do. If you aren't happy with the overall results, change your end of the spectrum but stop bitching about what others have accomplished with their time here on earth. Some people dream of success…while others wake up everyday and work hard at it.

If you ask anyone who has actually met me, I am just a regular guy. People still come up and introduce themselves to me at herp shows and even out in the field. And I am nobody!
I have met Mark O'Shea, Brian Grieg Fry, Manny Rubio, Dean Ripa and many other herp names and you know what? They are all "regular guys" too. We have our up days and we have our down days. Nobody twists someone's arm and makes them go ask for another person's signature. They go and get signatures of people they respect. So these aren't the names of people you respect? Then don't get their signatures!
All of them have done something you haven't done.
They stood up in front of the herp community, made a statement about their position FOR reptiles and put their name with it to give it credence.
There are lots of people within the herp community that I don't particularly like or call my friends (a meaningful word to me). That certainly doesn't mean that I begrudge them their "fame" or the respect they are due.
One of the saddest things about the internet is the huge group of people who sit in front of their monitors and take potshots at the people of whom they are jealous from behind the safe and spineless cloak of anonimity.
I would someday like to be as well known and respected as Mark O'Shea. Until then, I will have to be satisfied that when I put my name to something - I stand by it. And most people respect THAT!

PS I look forward to reading your book. Will it be in a readable language and will be by someone or by "anonymous"? KHB

I would sooner listen to a Regular Guy, than some High Headed Screw Ball. In my opinion, I see Mark O’Shea as a very Knowledgeable Herper. I have learnt a lot from Him. I see it this way, you don’t have to be Well Spoken or Especially Great at Convincing People that you know what your talking about to be a Good Herp Personality. Out of all the TV Herpers I’ve seen, Mark would have to Rank in my Top 5. So, I say leave the Man alone, let Him keep up the Good Work. Has anyone thought about how many People would have not had any interest in Reptiles, if it was not for Herpers like Mr. O’Shea? It is People like Him that bring new People to our Hobby “wouldn’t you think”?............................................Be safe ya’ll, happy herping Wally
