I'm stoked guys and girls. I went to cumberland island yesterday for a fun day of family time not expecting to see a thing in this blistering heat....Right as i walk up to Dungeness ruins, laying out like a poll in the breezway is a 5 ft Eastern Diamond. She never moved or rattled a bit and my wife got several pics that I will post soon. Some of the other visitors watching said she had just given birth but I didn't see any indication of that, not to say it wasn't so.

Walter,
I will be home after the 17th of August for a little less than two weeks.
I am in the St Marys phone book.
Why don't you give me a call and I will show you some spots for next spring.
Karl

At least in some instances, mother EDB's will keep their young in a secluded area & actually protect them. I have read of this happening in a captive situation, and have witnessed it once myself. So...you may be right about about doubting the animal recently gave birth.
They are awe-inspiring creatures. ~~Greg~~

I have some meetings in DC and then in Omaha, but I will try very hard to come home for a couple days. Seeing that snake in the wild was as exciting as seeing a cheeta running down main street. Thanks karl.
