Got a 3’ wild caught Mangrove Snake from a show Aug 6th and I have it in a 3 ½ ‘ high Cage with a light and large water dish with a climbing branch. I did a hydrated with pedialyte light for 2 hrs and this dam thing stays at the bottom of the floor. I tried to feed live small mouse 4 times and nothing I scented pinkies with a fire belly toad and still no good any one know what I’m doing wrong. I have 2 Eastern corals for 2 years with no problems.

Do you have a hidebox at the top somewhere? They will spend the day in there sleeping (they are nocturnal). Aim for nighttime temps of 28-30 C. Having lots of pothos ivy (aka Devil's ivy) in the cage is a good way to maintain the humidity (and looks good too).
To get them feeding, I've found hamsters work brilliantly. Found that out one day with some surplus ones from the lab. They love em ;-)
To work with the snakes, light gardening gloves and a long-sleeved shirt are suitable protection.

I have a mangrovesnake that is about 180cm!
I have a cage that is about 120*80*170cm (Length*Depth*Height) and have alot of branches and plants! The hummidity is about 75% at day and 80% at night!
The temperture is about 30 degress celcius at day and 28 at night! A hotspot whit a degree 35-37 celsius!
My snake feeds well on chicks, mice and small rats!
It was a little tricky to get it to eat but when i started to give her chicks she started eating anything :P
Hope this help and good luck

I got my Mangrove to eat by scenting with a fire belly toad worked wonders and @ $4.00 I keep the toad alive and scent whenever I need. Thank you all for such wonderful ideas that I will try.
Thanks
