#1: Joris Wijnker's Snakebite Kit seems to be rather rudimentary for the price. I have all the items listed (scissors, non-woven swabs, pad & pencil) and wanted to know if any additional items are included that are not listed? If I did consider his kit, is he safe to buy from?
#2: I checked out www.epipen.com/default.aspx and contacted my father who is a board certified medical doctor about him prescribing me this med. He is less than understanding about my enthusiam housing venomous snakes and I don't expect him to fill out a scrip for me. Where else can I turn to & how much of a supply is recommended to have at "hand"? I'm a rather big fella' (250 lbs. not THAT fat!) & surmise I would probably need more than the average bodied individual. Am I correct in this surmation?
#3: I would like to see more terrarium arts & crafts ideas posted on this web site. There was a brief discussion about this topic several weeks ago & I was craving more. I think it would be a great idea to post "recepies" for landscaping, rock walls, etc...& post them permanently for ALL reptile enthusiasts (venomous & non-venomous alike) to draw information from. Could this be a feasible possibility?
Thanks guys for all responses! Michael

I think that Michael`s idea #3, about creating cage landscapes is great.
Hey Chris, how about adding a section to the Photos where folks can post photos of Cage Backgrounds, Cage Setups, Cage Plantings, etc?
Like they say, a picture is worth a whole bunch of words, LOL!
If people can post photos of great cage landscaping,
others will be more inclined to try it themselves.
A lot of stuff like this is really fairly easy, but for some reason intimidating to folks to try.
If people can see photos of cage setups done by others, they just might try glueing stuff to their own cages. Or painting backgrounds in their cages.
Best Regards

I also agree with micheal on the 3rd idea I love talking about cage setups. About the epipen if Im not mistaken just go to any MD and tell him that you walk in the woods alot and you have had a bad reaction to bee/wasp stings and say your putting together a firt aid kit and you think that it would be best keep one just incase. If you tell the doctore its for a snake bite he will most likly tell you to leave them alone BUT by saying bee/wasp that is not really avoidable.

The "Home Photos" section was originally set up for the purpose of showing cages and set-ups. Feel free to upload planted cage pictures there.

Karl: Thanks for that update on the photos. I hope a lot of folks show off their handy work there as to cage setups. Best Regards JohnZ

It is hard to get step-by-step instructions on how to create a rock wall backdrop made of plaster from a photo. This is an area that I could learn a great deal from others about terrarium design... what works & what doesn't. Lets face it, terrarium design is a major part of entertainment in this hobby.

Faux rock and background design has been a "hot" topic on www.kingsnake.com, in the "Cage and Habitat Design" forum. There have been many posts with a few links that might help someone. Hope this helps.
