Theo: I do not know how many scales each sex of an Eyelash Viper will probe, but here is something that might work just as well, but involves a little more counting. If you have a shead skin, it should be easy.
Caudal Scales in Males Average 56.8 Scales, (Range 53-61) and Caudal Scales in Females Average 51.6 Scales, (Range 33 - 61).
Ventral Scales in Males Average 160.1, (Range 153 - 167) and Ventral Scales in Females Average 156.8, (Range 146 - 167).
Let us hear back if your Eyelash falls within these counts well enough for them to let you determine its sex.
Hope this helps. JohnZ

Females are usually larger than males.
26 inches is a good size adult.
How about adding some information to your profile, so folks here can get to know you?

Thomas: Thanks for updating your profile. Folks here are much more responsive to questions when they know who they are talking with! Good Luck with that Eyelash. Best Regards. JohnZ
