A good bedding to use is Aspen. I have used it for years and still do. All of my snakes, tortoises, monitors, etc have Aspen in there cage. Have had zero problems using this as a substrate. No impactions or anything. Affordable, easy to clean, smells clean after a cage change. Bryan

thanks i usually use aspen and what i am currenly useing now i havent been keeping for a while since i am not able to get to a pet store offten im opting to go post for mice now since i want to start keeping again
