High heat. Upper 80's-low 90's is where I kept my temps. Night time drop to mid to upper 70's. I don't have a hydrometer, but SE Texas is pretty humid naturally. I kept two water bowls in each cage and never had any problems with shedding. Mine liked to defecate in their water bowls. For substrate, my Aspidelaps dealer advised me to use Sani-Chips. This is a finely ground sterilized wood chip (not made of cedar- but I forget which tree species it is manufactured from). Add approximately 2" of substrate for burrowing. To avoid possible intestinal impaction, I fed my Aspidelaps pinkies placed inside a brown paper bag.

aspidelaps dealer? lol
was that a used aspidelaps dealership or a new aspidelaps dealership?
I know, I know, you can get a good deal on a used aspidelaps, but there's nothing like that new aspidelaps smell and the feeling of freedom as new scutes hit the substrate and you go driving off in that shiny new aspidelaps.

Deep substrate, small water bowl, tmps rangeing from 75 on cool end to 89ish on the hot. Leave at room temp at night, no heat (remeber, temps at night in the desert are extreamly cool). A flat peice of slate rock on top of the substrate provides a great hide for them. They usualy made a little alcove underneath and are quite content. I burmated mine with the North American stuff and it worked great!
Mating was usualy introduced very easily. Misting got both species (lubricus and scutatus)going usualy the same night. Getting viable eggs is another story lol
I personaly ketp mine in rubbermaids and it seemed to benifit them. They can be high strung and stress easy so it helped keep stress to a minimum.
Aspidelaps are very hardy, easy keeps and about the most delightfull snakes to work with.
Best o luck in your quest to get them. You will love working with them!
Later,
Jeremy
