If this is a fact, it would be probably the biggest find in the last 100 Years. Just imagine a Snake that can Change ita colors to indicate Mood and for Camouflage, it would be a Ground Breaking Discovery. Hope it is totally true. ...................Be Safe Ya’ll, Happy Herping : Wally

At the IHS this past weekend Bill Lamar showed us a picture of a new species (yet un-named) of Bothrops he found... Now that's way cool too!

Even ball pythons can change color to some degree...

Here is another link to a little more educated article. This is a great find, I would love to see more pictures of this snake. Especially when it has changed coloration.

Very interesting... but it is not that unusual for snakes to change color, especially in that area. The island dwarf localities of P. reticulatus from just south of Sulawesi change color dramatically depending on temp, humidity... etc.

Posted on the venom listserv earlier today... (not by me)
WWF are a bit late.
Murphy, Voris and Auliya described this species last year and its colour change already in 2003. And the specimens for the description were collected in 1996.
