I put mine together about a month before I start to brumate them, and when they are coming out of brumation. I feed them a couple times after coming out of brumation, and put them together, try to have them together when the female sheds, it seems to help trigger the mating response. The scent of the freshly shed female seems to help excite the male. In other words, they will mate in spring or fall.
