Breeding Popes and white lips together?

Hey guys,
i was wondering if it is possible to breed a popes tree viper and a white lip tree viper together? I have a Female popes and a male white lip, and they seem similar in apperance but actually are diff snakes. lol. Just wondering if anyone could help me out. Thanks alot for what you guys have helped me with so far. Hope to learn more. Appreciate it.

For what it's worth, I'm against intergrades. I am a purist and think along the lines of keeping the species "pure". Just my .02.

Mike,
Yes, snakes cross breed in the wild. However, the probability of finding a hybrid in the wild is pretty low in most cases. I'm with Frawgg. Keep the lines as pure as possible without inbreeding. Just my .03.

I'm not against hybrids, as there are many, at least in the nonven world, that are drop-dead gorgeous. However, the problem with a cross like this is the fact that there is already a lot of confusion amongst keepers about which species they have. I know I had a supposed white lip and pope's arrive from an importer, but upon closer inspection it seemed like the "pope's" might've been misidentified by either the importer or the exporter. There is already a lot of confusion about the Asian arboreal vipers, so I personally don't see it as a good idea to create more.

If you are going to keep the babies then you should do it to find out what happens. If you sell them then you should sterilize them so they can't breed. Is that more, or less, radical than other people?
