Just got home from the Columbia Reptile Show, and would like to say how much fun it was to see old friends there, and make new friends there!
The folks who planned and ran the show deserve a lot of credit for bringing everything together.
There were a lot of very nice animals available for sale by the vendors, and the general atmosphere was very friendly. I hope this is the start to a new era of very fine reptile shows!
Best Regards JohnZ

Shayne, you missed a really great show. I think almost everyone there had a good time. I ran into some old friends I had not seen in 15 or 16 years.
I hope the vendors sold enough to make a good profit, as they sure had some really great animals on display.
The educational talks that were given seemed to draw a good attendance also.
Talk with you soon.
Best Regards JohnZ

John,
Once again, thank you. It was very nice to meet you and all the other great people who stopped by to say hello. I think the show was good, I moved 75% of my animals and look forward to the next one in the spring.
To those who did not go, you missed alot of nice animals and whole lot of nice people.
Paul

John,
I would have to agree... The show was great and the atmosphere was very friendly. It was very well organized and laid out. The Repticon crew and staff did a great job in bringing the Columbia show back to life! It reminded me of how the show was back in it's glory days. The presentations were great and the games and puppet shows really hit it off with the younger herp fans. I brought my wife and daughter with me and I was suprised how much my wife enjoyed the show. She normally is bored at shows but said she would not hesitate to come again.
Both the patrons and the vendors of the show seemed very pleased with the show. Most vendors sold very well and many patrons came to buy. I was most impressed with the quality of animals on display or for sale. I saw not one that did not look healthy. I was also impressed with the quality of prizes that were being given out.
Overall, it was just a great show and I want to thank the Repticon team,( Bill,Shirley,Danny,Cathy,Jason, Monica, and others) for setting the bar for Columbia Shows and hope they will continue this venue. I enjoyed seeing old friends and making new ones. I ended up leaving the show with 1.0 amazingly beautiful pastel beardie dragon from Cricket's Critters, 1.0 normal corn neonate from Danny and Cathy Elrod, and 0.1 pregnant emperor scorpion from Bay Reptiles. Actually all of the above were my daughter's charges I just was appointed to get them home safely and set them up there-after.

Joshua, It would have been good to meet you there also! It is funny how that works, as there were several other folks I wanted to meet, who I know were there somewhere, but we did not run into each other. I knew my friend Heyward Clamp was at the show, but it took 3 or 4 hours to find him, and the building really is not that big, LOL ! See you at the next show.
Best Regards JohnZ

I had a great time myself. It was great to see you again John. I also got to see my old buddy Chuck, saw Phillip Higgans as well. I really enjoyed meeting Paul Moody and Joe Switalski, many "Thanks" to both you guys. I came away with 3 Eastern Corals, 1 Florida Cottonmouth, 1 Timber Rattler, some Cuban anoles (Thanks Paul), and 2 Guinea Pigs for my wife. All in all, it was the best of the 3 SC shows I have attended. Hope to see you all again in the future.
Best regards,
Mike
