I wanted to make a post to let everyone know that I felt the Columbia Show was well planned, well put together, and that I had a wonderful weekend at the show. I had great sales and wanted to especially thank John for his generosity :)
To all that I met for the first time, I will see you again and hopefully herp with a few of you in the coming spring. Thanks for introducing yourself to me.
Danny and Cathy were great with the vendors and the Repti Con team was very attentative to the vendors needs also.
We did find the four foot Yacare Caimen :)
We also found the four foot retic someone else lost under our tablecloth and that was a surprise.
And to end this all, I just wanted to thank all the attendees and vendors who helped make the show a great one.

Paul,
I couldn't agree with you more. It was a great show as everyone seemed please with it attendees and vendors alike. I also was impressed with the quality and caliber of the animals. I saw not one dead animal other than the frozen feeders. That was a first for me.

ust wanted to say thank you all who attended the show! The foot traffic was 2,000 plus for both days.
Thanks also goes out to all the vendors! You guys and gals are the greatest! All the animals for sale and on display were outstanding!
Special Thanks to all the SHHS members who attended and the members who volunteered to be our venomous escorts, Andrew from NCARK with his hunting buddy "the redtail hawk" (beautiful bird), Chuck Hurd for his SC venomous display and his presentation,Jeff Mohr and Roark Ferguson for their great presentations and to WNC Herps for their donation of 8 baby corns, New Generation Reptiles for the Adult female Corn and the baby ball python donation, Snakehook.net for donating the hooks, Chad Minter for donating his book and last but not least a BIG thank you to the following for the generous donations: Exo-Terra, ZooMed, CaribSea and Russ Gurley. Thank you all for the great products donated!
It was a pleasure to meet Karl aka Buzztail and the "Boss", Paul Moody from Simply Snakes, Eric from NorthShore and I know I saw FLVenom and most likely spoke with you but I did not get everyones name.
I would like to tell a sort story about a new vendor we had at the show that showed respect for the venomous protocol. As most of you know any venomous that are sold must be escorted out by a staff member or a volunteer. Me and Monica was standing in front of one hot vendors booth and he had a cutomer that was ready to leave and needed an escort out. I sent Monica with him but he had another venomous purchase to pick up at another venomous vendor's booth (Aardvark Breeders and Traders)). Jeff from Aardvark questioned Monica about who she was to make sure she was suppose to be escorting the venomous out (she did not have a name badge nor a Repticon shirt on).
Thank you all for making this a great show for all!

I have heard nothing but good things about the Columbia show. I'm sorry I missed it! Honestly, I really wanted to make it but 2 things I couldn't avoid came up at the last minute. I didn't know until 7pm on Friday night that I wasn't going to be able to make it.

Sorry we missed you Chris. I did get to meet Karl, Chuck, Paul, Matt, Johnny, Cathy, Danny, the wild men from Pullians... John and Oz. It was also good to meet Joshua and some others that are escaping me right now. John Z... you are a gentleman and a scholar. It is always a pleasure. It was good seeing Chad, BW, Phillip and Audrey again. Thanks to DJ and Sal for bringing us to SC.
We had a great discussion at the Banquet regarding the need to get SCARK established... and the establishment of one or more AV stock accessible throughout the SE. The AV discussion went late into the night with me, John P., John Z., Chad, Phillip and Carl P. I would like to bring Chris H. and Karl B. into that disscussion going into the future.
We signed up new members from NC,SC,GA & TN. The two stongest states are NC and GA. We need to bring in more support from SC. I appreciate all the support from my GA brethren. John Pullian has indicated that he will step up and support the effort in a number of ways. Even though I now reside in NC I will always be a GA boy.

PS- RAZOR, my redtail hawk enjoyed meeting everyone. It was a valueable experience in the manning process for him. RAZOR is now making free flights, is very acustomed to people and will be hunting squirrels by next week.
Thanks,
Andrew

Andrew, Razor was a very nice and interesting addition to the show. I enjoyed meeting you and look forward to the show in the late spring up there. This time, we should get together two days before the show or after the show so we can do some herping. Same goes for you too Brian.
Mike Williams, Ozzy, John Z., they were all great to meet, also along with Michael Jolliff, I loved his westerns.
The only problem I had was the decision to allow some hots in the non venomous section, where Roark had to keep a extra eye on the tables for safety reasons.
So Karl, when do you want to get together on the phone and set up a camping trip in Apalachicola?

Thank you all for your compliments about the hard work everyone did to make this show a great success.
Paul, there were more eyes watching the few venomous in the non venomous area than a spider has. That was something we do not normally practice and for future shows will not happen. John P, Danny and myself are going to update a few new venomous protocol rules for next year at the Atlanta show this weekend. I think most of you will approve of them. If ANY of you have any suggestions please feel free to email them to me at carolinareptileshows@gmail.com
Again Thank You All,
Danny, Cathy and the whole Repticon Team
