I just got 2 Cerastes vipera babies. Can anyone send me information on them, some good setups for habitat, and feeding ways.

Here's how we keep/house our Cerastes:
Cage: Vision 28" x 24" x 24" (can't think of the model)
Set up: We provide a 3-4" (up to the lip) layers of beach sand that allows them to submerge if they wish. We also provide a couple of weathered pieces of driftwood and a rock pile. We provide a SMALL, shallow dish of water that we allow to evaporate and then refill as needed
Heat: We drop a small heat lamp into the heat shroud on the Vision cage. We have found that a 60 to 75 watt (depends on room ambient temps) works out great as both a heat and light source. I use Verilux as it gives off a real nice looking color that shows the animal off well (I have to keep this in consideration since these aniamal are on public exhibit). Basking temps range from 90-95 deg F (small localized area created by the heat lamp directed over the surface of the sand) while the background temps range from 72-85 degF. Night temps drop to the low 70's but anything in the upper 60's to low 70's is fine.
Diet: A baby cerastes will start off on pinks although they are probably lizard eaters by nature; some can be problematic but many are quite eager to pounce on f/t pinks off of hemostats. Our adults get one appropriately sized mouse every 14-16 days and we adjust based on body weight. Every 3rd or 4th feeding we provide a little vitamin supplementation since we feed frozen/thawed prey.
Does this help at all?
