Paul,
ive seen that ad many times. They realy dont give you alot of info on the animal. Were it was done, who did it,ect.. but I have no issue with venomoids unless the animal is suffering, or if the person doing the procedure did it wrong, you no what i mean?.... thats my opinion. whats yours tho?

Are you considering buying this animal?
The associated picture looks nice but how do you know that is the animal you will ultimately receive?
Are you trying to make a point about venomoids?
That has been beat to death here with many petitions having been signed and there are still venomoids.
I am not sure of what you are asking.
Jay at Exotic Reptiles openly sells venomoids. He also has a venomoid snouted cobra listed in their ads.
I do not normally go to his website but have seen it before. He lists the venomoid Black Mamba from Kill Bill 2 as "not for sale."
I do not look at the ads on kingsnake for the same reason I don't buy from the ads on our own site. I cannot imagine buying an animal, for the prices people list, without ever having seen it or knowing to whom I am sending my money.
I prefer to get my animals from breeders I know or at shows where I can look the vendor in the eye (like Columbia).

I just feel it is something that should never be done. I am not starting a bash festival. It is a very dangerous snake to gamble with. Not to mention how painful the actual bite would be. I saw the snouted cobra also. I do not buy from the net but do like looking at what is being sold and the different dealers around me.

Yeah, I agree with that. But sadly, as long as there is a demand for venomoids, some dealers will still want to profit off of what they can make $$$ on.

Like Joe said as long as there is a demand (the inexperienced and showoffs often one in the same)there will unfortunatly be a supply. If you dont have the skill and confidence to work with a loaded hot, you shouldnt be working with venomous period. But a solution to that problem has been addressed and it's resulted in the creation of venomoids. Unfortunatly thanks to people willing to create these animals they will continue to exist. And as paul said earlier your REALLY rolling the dice on whoever may have done the surgery. Also as mentioned before its not like 2" fangs drilled into you is gonna tickle. The risk involved is too great and its just not worth it. I will however say there are people on this site who do own venomoids but only for the simple fact that they recieved them through other circumstances and I commend thoes people for removing them from an otherwise extended hot market and preventing them from getting into the hands of the inexperienced.
Thanks Eric
