Has anyone else had success herping recently? I took a trip to Lake Okeechobee this weekend along with my friend Bill Cope and we had a blast.
We found one Florida kingsnake, six Everglades Ratsnakes, one Everglades Racer, a Ringneck snake, one large snapping turtle, various frogs, some unidentified geckos, and plenty of alligators. The weather was cool in the morning but it actually became hot by noon and the day became great for herping.
Just wondering if anyone else has been out and about finding herps.

I've successfully found stuff in every month of the year, even in north central Georgia. They are just few and far between. South Fla is pretty much active all year I think. I found lots of stuff in December in Ft Lauderdale one year. Too bad none of it was native! lol!
