I just purchased my first hot(baby copper) and so far it will not feed. I have had it for five daysand tried pinkies but so far without success. Does anyon have any suggestions? thanks

try frogs and small lizards thats what they eat in the wild....
note: if you catch the food freeze them first for parasites
later,

Everyone, seems to have trouble getting the juvy coppers to eat.If it where me; I would keep trying LIVE PINKIES, I don't have much luck getting coppers to eat anything but live food; especially juvy copper.

You may have to use a T-REX product called lizard maker to scent the pink. You could also try placing the baby Copper in a small deli container with the live pinkie.

I agree with all the responses, but if you've only had it 5 days, it may not be acclimated to it's new surroundings. Keep trying and try not to handle it any more than necessary. I have also had success by placing a dark towel or sheet over the enclosure (make sure you don't cut off the air supply). Don't give up.
