i was refering to a deer doe...
It had a giant mouth, maybe as big as a large boa constricter. I had to look at it for awhile but you could tell it was a copperhead by its shape of its head. This must have been a experiemt from the college near by, because i didnt think copperheads could get that huge!!!
I will post a link on here of a snake, not the one i saw, and it will be either as big or smaller than the one i saw, ill tell you once i post it.

Sure wish you guys had you camera with you when you saw that big Copperhead trying to eat a deer.
Thats always the way, though.
When something way-kool happens, I never seem to have my camera with me.
Best Regards JohnZ

Tell me about it John: I wish I would have had a Video Camera back about 4 Years ago. A buddy and I saw a 5Ft. Black Kingsnake, wrestling with an (Over 3Ft) Cottonmouth. It was absolutely hilarious, every time the King would just about have the Cottonmouth at the right angle to Strike, the Cottonmouth would turn and face it wile Gapping at the King the whole time. This went on for about 15 Minutes, until finally the King got a hold on.
There have been many times I would have gave my Right Arm for a Camera but, that’s the life of a Herper Huu?
Be Safe Ya’ll, Happy Herping : Wally

If these young fellas are seeing stuff like this now, imagine what they'll be posting about around the first of April. Y'all need to ask Santa for a digicam.
Best photo op I missed was at work one morning at Lion Country. At least twenty pairs of male cottonmouths were up in mating combat. in the center pit. If I'd had a camera, I would have been able to get a dozen at least in one frame.

a phone with a 2+ mp camera comes in handy for this stuff.
importgsm.com sells a lot of foreign phones with nice cameras ($300 for the motorola v3x with a VERY nice 2mp camera) and that comes with a lifetime warranty. i've bought 10 phones from them and they're smalltime i believe, but very nice guys and will make things right. the warranty is a no questions asked swap too. any of the 2mp motorola phones will take quality pictures and should come with zoom and night mode. a1200, v3x, etc.
and no, i'm not a rep or beneficiary of anything related to this company, i'm just a cell phone collector and there is a huge difference in my a780's 1.3mp camera and the v3x's 2mp camera. night and day. my a780 camera isn't good for much. i've went herping with my v3x and caught some nice pictures
daytime shot, no fine tuning, just point and shoot http://webpages.charter.net/rickyduckworth/agkistrodon/wildcotton.jpg
nighttime shot http://webpages.charter.net/rickyduckworth/agkistrodon/cottonunderroad.jpg
