"To make it clear to the both of you. I have been working with venomous reptiles for 25 years and would never think to remove any part of one for pleasure or profit."
As impressive as it may be to you that you've been working with venomous since you were nine, I don't recall saying anything more than..."Again? They never stopped." I don't recall trying to "start something" or even exercising my first ammendments rights about how I feel about them. Try dropping the price. It'll sell faster.

It has been interesting to say the least to see how quickly these types of discussions get out of hand. I'm going to add just a little more to this, and that will be the end of it for my part. The individual that said I was owed an apology, much appreciated, but that would have been a rare undertaking. Now to the comment about what I should have said, especially signaling to all that my intentions were pure. None of your business what I do, or how I do it. If you look back a few weeks, hell over a month, you will see the same add was for trade. I never wanted money for the cobra, but I wasn't about to give him away either. What caused me to place a price on him was the constant e-mails wanting to know what I would taker for him cash wise. Now here is the tricky part. I asked to trade him for tortoises for our zoo, and educational talks. A person or organization that has these tortoises would of had to give some prior info about their capabilities with cobra species in general. Of course it never got that far, so when I threw out a number, which happens to be under what a big Forest would go for, I truly expected the so called want to be types to stop e-mailing me, and prompt someone with the experience, and hopefully the tortoise. I had to start placing prices along with the trade option just to cut down on the random under aged buyers, just so they would leave me alone. Think about it for a moment. A 15 year old most likely will not, or cannot buy an animal at $600., but a serious person with some background with venomous probably will. Either way, I still have him, and since it caused so much comotion I will not post him again. I do not condone these types of animals to be sold to the open market, but what is done is done, and I cannot fault the cobra for it. Let this topic die, because there are far worse atrocities to worry about. For those of you who went to bat for me, I whole heartedly thank you. This will most likely be my last post for discussion due to the fact that almost nothing on this sight can be discussed openly without the people jumping to conclusions.
