Hi,
Ok im not a keeper but i am very interested and have posted to here a few times and
visit the site a lot.
Anyway this is my story,
I suffer from Asthma, although I habve not had an attack for several years now.
Unfortunately the other week I had an asthma attack out of the blue, for no apparent reason.
After two or three days i happened to notice two small marks on my lower leg, with some light bruising but no apparent swelling and i felt no pain at the time.
I was wondering if it was possiuble an adder bite would set in place an asthma attack,
I was cycling in the woods near my home 2 days before the attach occured, and would of been walking about in long bracken etc, I live in the Highlands of Scotland, and it was a lovely warm day, although I have never seen any adders in this area before, i would imagine there would be some there as the woods are quite remote.
I am reasonably fit and i believe an adder bite on a human would not be very serious if they were adult and reasonably fit.
Any feedback would be appreciated.

Hi Ian,
Sounds more like a couple of nips from a spider to me. If it were an Adder (Vipera berus), you'd have experienced a lot more pain and swelling. Also, the bite would have most likely been on the foot or ankle.
True, V. berus is considered relitivly mild, but they can still take the joy out of your day.
Hope this helps.
