Ok, real quick , we saw a Jaguarundi in Flamingo which has not yet been confirmed to be living there but now we know. We got a great 45 second look at it trotting along the woods side.
saturday night we saw

3 scarlet snakes
1 mud snake
10 ribbon snakes
1 5 FT CANEBRAKE
OH, after a 22 hour drive home ReptileLover went to school today {he is insane! }
1 Jaguarundi

Collin, sounds like a good herping trip to the glades !
However, I wonder if you are posting on the correct forum ? I see that you are registered here by name only, and have not filled out a profile beyond that.
And I can not find any reference to ReptileLover, Hognose93, or Nightsnake97. If you are site members here, then please fill out your profiles so that we can know who we are talking with. Thanks !
Best Regards JohnZ

Jagarundis are known to be in Sofla..I saw one many years ago in Palm Beach County. They are, however, extremely rare & very seldom seen. Canebrakes, however, are limited to north Florida. Curious about that one. Either one helluva range extension, a mis-identification, or an escapee/release.

Sorry for the mix-up. The canebrake was found on the way home in Southern Georgia. St. Mary's to be exact.

Okay! Makes more sense now. You can still consider yourself among the privileged few who have ever seen a jagarundi in Florida. Hope you enjoyed your visit to my fair state.
