Sure hope some of you who live in GA got to watch "The Joy of Snakes" tonight on GPTV. It is a classic.
When that film was made, most of the filming was done out in the wild, without a crew of 20 to 30 people with lights and reflectors and multiple cameras.
It was usually one camera man shooting in natural light, and one sound man, and perhaps a director.
Now days they send out a whole crew to film wildlife shows. Perhaps the shows look better on film, but the older shows tell you what it really was like back in the old days, trying to produce a natural history film.
It really is a joy to see that show again, and my friend Okefenokee Joe. Brings back a lot of great memories of hunting snakes in South Georgia back in the 70`s.
