Due to the fact that Mangrove Snakes are mildly venomous,I've learned that some states will allow you to keep them without permits. So, is it legal to keep them in CA without permits? If they aren't legal in CA, then what other states would allow them?

I know this was posted a long time ago, but as a former member of that state, and former co-owner of a petstore there I know the answer. Mangrove's and False Water Cobra's are legal for sale, purchase and ownership in the state of California, without the need for any permit's.
As for "full Hot's" in California you can only own Native Rattlesnakes, up to two of each species, and no permit is required. I just checked www.dfg.ca.gov to make sure the law hasn't changed.
