I had to give up the hobby for about 10 years. I am so out of touch and trying to catch up because everything I knew about the herp community has changed so much.
I'm looking for the top 4 or so HOT EXPOS in the USA. I went to FIRE in Orlando last year but hardly any HOTS IMO. I want the EXPO to be worth my time, money and flying across country to attended.

Scott,
The Hamburg, PA shows ( 4 per year ), and the Columbia, SC shows ( 2 per year ), are probably the best shows on the East Coast to attend.
The Daytona, FL show is huge, but is now a Non-Venomous show. It is great if you like the wierd designer stuff like ball python morphs.
If you will fill out more of your profile here, it will be easier for folks to know what part of the country you are in, and what venomous shows might be near where you live.
Hope this helps.
Best Regards JohnZ

Thanks guys. I will give SC show a shot. I went to Repticon in Jacksonville today and was also talking with them. They said that just about half their tables are HOT.
If I don't find what I want there I will take a trip to PA.
Thanks for all the help and I will fill out my BIO more.

Scott, I think you will find the November Columbia, SC Show to be worthwile to attend. The Repticon folks do a great job in promoting shows, and making both the vendors and the public feel welcome. You will find that the SC shows are a bit more laid back and easy going, and the quality of the animals just gets better and better. And because they are on both Saturday and Sunday, they tend to be a bit less crowded. The site members here usually get together for a banquet of some sort after the fall Columbia Show, at a local restaraunt, and usually have a guest speaker or two after. Those always turn out to be fun.
Now the Hamburg, PA show is a whole different world. It can best be described as frantic, fun, perplexing, crowded, excellent, LOL. Having a huge show that only lasts one day brings folks from all over the country who often park a mile away and wait a couple of hours to get into the door, LOL.
The vendors there are great, and many are members of this site. And the animals and reptile supplies that are usually available are great also. Next time I attend Hamburg, I plan to go as a vendor, as driving around a parking lot for an hour waiting for a parking space is just not much fun, LOL.
Hope to see you at both shows. I will probably be selling reptile books, cork bark, snake hooks, snake bags, and other reptile related dry goods.
Best Regards JohnZ

Thanks everyone. You guys have been a HUGE HELP!!!
I will be at the August 4th show in Hamburg for sure. I just have some questions.
#1 Is Philly the closest airport and how long is the drive to Hamburg from the airport?
I'm trying to find out my best option on bringing HOTS back to Florida. I'm doing some leg work but still it has been a very long time. Is Delta Dash pretty much my only option for shipping?
I also am thinking about renting a car and driving back but this could be pricy. (Car, gas etc...)
If I do use Delta dash I guess I will be at the Philly Airport on the 4th or 5th. Do they use their own shipping containers now or do I need to bring one and what are my best options these days for boxes (HOTS)etc...? (Is Delta dash closed on the weekends?)
All my snakes will be CB07 so size of the box should be small, probably 8 to 15 snakes.
Just looking for my best options.
Looks like my GF and I can fly up there together for $80.00 each if I book now. Plus I’ll need a hotel. Any suggestions, discounts etc…

Scott, from what I understand, Delta Dash is the only way to go, and you have to be a certified shipper. You might have to get the assistance of someone up there in PA who is certified to assist you, if you are not certifieds with Delta.
You should probably contact Delta for the new rules and regulations, and hopefully, others here who are reptile dealers will give you more advise on shipping, and what to expect. I would think that you would have to supply your own shipping boxes, and there are new regulations that require steel strapping on the boxes.

I recently found out you can also ship hots via Northwest Airlines without having an account/being verified. It is a bit more pricey though. Like $100 versus $75.

Chris is right. You can ship venomous reptiles through NW Airlines without being verified, and it is more expensive than Delta. I've heard getting Delta certified can be tricky, but when I did it a few years ago, it was a breeze. They sent a guy out to check out what I had and have me sign a couple papers. It didn't cost me anything. Apparently though it varies quite a bit depending on where you are and how strict your local Delta folks are.
By the way, since I don't believe it has been yet mentioned in regards to the original question, there is also a nice venomous show in San Antonio TX, put on by TexasReptiles. From what I've heard, this show has been ever-growing since the first one I attended in 2002.

Thanks guys for all the feedback.
I just booked a room in Reading PA for the August 4th Hamburg PA show. I'll check out NW airlines but I am leaning more towards driving up there and back now. After airline tickets, rent a car and shipping the snakes back it's about the same price.(give or take)This way I know the snakes are fine, not being thrown around or left in the heat. I don't have to waste time at both airports etc... All that really stinks is the 15 hour (ish) drive. But hey, it's worth it to me to find exactly what I want. On that note I hope after spending all that money on gas, hotel and time driving I find everything I want.
