I'll be in Las Vegas August 29 to Sept 1st. My GF and I really want to go road crusing and field herping.
I would like to know some good roads and or areas to look. I would really like to find some sidewinders and Mojave rattlesnakes. Most my herping has been in Fla. I lived in Poway CA at one time when I was a teenager but never left those hills and was to young to drive.

I can help you guys out for sure. I live in Vegas and there are alot of good spots here for herping. If you have access for a 4x4 you can get to the perfect spots, but there are plenty of locations that are easily accessible by 2wd.

I see you were in the Army. I also have a photo with Mr. Rumsfield when I was in Tikrit 2003 4ID. I'll save all that for later...
Probably a rent a car... I'll see if I can find an H2 ;-)

cool deal, and great that you too are a Veteran. Nice to see more of us in this feild.
Getting an H2 here is easy, they are all over, the price is what you will have to contend with, call around and book whatever vehicle you want as far in advance as possible, that way you get the best rate's. For vegas some of the best deals are the online packages that are flight, rental, and hotel all in one package. Hope this helps, and look forward to hearing from you soon.
