I'm curious to know if CroFab is made to stop the effects of many species of Rattlesnakes, does it also work with Copperheads and Cottonmouths? Also since most Rattlesnakes venoms are tissue destroying, does CroFab work equally well in combating the venom of the Mojave's, which is typically much more Neurotoxic in composition. I don't know much about CroFab, and have been pondering this for about a week. Thank you in advance for your answers.

Oddly enough, according tot his information, even though CroFab is made using cottonmouth venom and not copperhead venom, it seems to be more effective against the copperhead venom. Interesting.
It says they use mojave venom, but I didn't see any mention of the neurotoxic populations and I think I remember being told that it did not work well on the neurotixic mojaves...

Ok, that is interesting...
But aren't all Mojave's venom atleast partially made up of Neurotoxins? I live in Las Vegas, and see them alot while out herping in the desert, I've only personally owned N. Pacific's, but have worked with many species (see profile), and I was under the impression that the Mojave always exibited some neuro effect's from their venom, or is that mistaken and the source for the differen't "type codes" associated with Mojaves?

CroFab works on Mojave toxin very well. Type A animals are used in its production. In fact it works better on neurotoxins then some hemotoxins. Namely Crotalus horridus and Crotalus molossus.

Furthermore, completely ignore I comment about it working better on A. contortix than A. piscivorous. I completely misread the chart.

CroFab is produced using the venom of Mojave Rattlesnakes, Water Moccasins, Eastern and Western Diamondbacks. It does work well on species in the Agkistrodon complex.
CroFab is approved for treatment of mild to moderate bites of North American Crotalidae. However, coagulopathy tends to be difficult to treat with CroFab, as it recurs after appearing to be controlled initially. Those North American species known or suspected to cause coagulopathy may need large doses of CroFab prior to resolution of symptoms.
