i did some trading for some "westerns" but when i got them home i noticed that they look nothing like my other westerns...they look exactly like red diamondback pics i have seen on this site...they are young, maybe 2ft long and one a little smaller but i have other westerns the same size and they look a lot different.....is there a way to tell for sure or is it even possible for westerns to have an almost identical appearance....i would guess its possible but i dont know so someone who does...tell me

ricky, here's what i found on a quick note. C. Atrox, 25 to 27 rows of keeled scales. C. Ruber, 29 rows. this came from audubon field guide, not from me. other than this, AFG doesn't give any other info to help distiguish. hope this helps, and be careful.
