I recently heard that there was something called a "green phase" of the eastern milksnake (Lampropeltis t. triangulum) of which only two specimens are so far known. If that is the case, then I have a third... collected here on our farm in southern VA in May. The blotches are definitely not the usual brown or red, but more of a greenish-brown or mustard-yellow. It is a fairly large specimen too, over 30". Does anyone have any more information about this snake?
Thanks-
Fred Boyce
