It seems that there are a lot of people pushing the crossbreeding issue in the past few months.
In most cases it seems as if the two animals being crossbred would use the same antivenin (Gaboon X Rhino, U.S. Copperhead X Cottonmouth, etc) to begin with so problems with initial treatment should not be great.
But, suppose someone were to breed one of the larger South American rattlesnakes with an Eastern Diamondback Rattlesnake.
What kind of antivenin would you use for a bite from this snake?
CroFab?
Bioclon?
Something else?
LSD

Wyeth Poly, if there is any not expired, and Bioclon, I would think, would be your only options. CroFab isn't made with any of the durissus, so I don't know how effective it would be against a hybrid. Especially since it's shown not to be very effective with some of the NA crotalids.
This, of course, is only a speculated guess, as I don't think there has ever been any testing done on cross-bred animals, nor do I think there ever will be.
