As you know, FL wildlife dept recommended that owners of exotic cats and pythons and venomous reptiles don't have to notify neighbors, see history here: http://www.rexano.org//StatePages/FloridaFrame.htm
So Carole Baskin of Big Cat rescue took it up on herself to notify neighbors and scare them, see the MSDOC and PDF attachment of Baskin letter on the link above.

She is such a hypocrite! Constantly re-inventing herself to cover her tracks. Exotic owners should try to discuss their hobby whenever possible with the general public. Most aren't aware of the state and federal regulations and requirements for ownership. When I explain that I am concerned about my neighbors safety and the LIVES of my cats, most of the people that I speak with are pretty supportive.

Regualtions state that the facility has to have a notice (sign) posted warning persons of the animals housed within. This could possibly lead to the theft of the animals by undesirables. Carol is a real piece of work, and has been investigated by the US Fish and Wildlife on her cats, all 400 of them.

Carol Baskin,
I'm writing this letter to find out more information about a letter you sent addressed, "Dear Exotic Animal Neighbor". I'm not sure what is really going on here and would like more info. Are you trying to ban all ownership of big cats or just private ownership? What do you hope to achieve by sending out this letter? What is it you want the state to do when it comes to Class I, II and III animals?

Carol's plan is simple, she doesn't want anybody but herself to own exotic animals. She's a heavy animal rights activist, with ties to the HSUS and other activist organizations. Check out Z's website which has more than enough information on Carol, and the "scamtuary" she runs.

Carol is wrong in so many ways. Not that I have to go into it but what a (Beep)
She needs to lead by example and get rid of her animals before telling others what to do.
