Very good point Tina ! That is why I posted it, because I thought it might be funny for herpers to read. Especially for those who have ever kept pythons.
I did not want the thread to turn into a "Barr fight," LOL, but just to get a chuckle out of his somewhat exagerated comments.
It is amazing how quickly that 7 foot python became a 15 footer, even on a reptile site, LOL !
It is good to see someone else here who sees the humor in the story !
Best Regards JohnZ

Wow he screams just like a 5 year old girl with a skinned knee! It's just a snake bite from a small snake that is non-venomous. I'd hate to see what he would do if he was envenomated or bit by a snake over 10 feet long. He is supposed to be a snake expert?
Remember when Maria the "real" snake expert from South America who did the Anaconda episode with Jeff Corwin? She did an episode with Brady where he screwed up while holding a Cayman and let it bite her hand (it was later bandaged in the Corwin episode). When the crocodilian bit her severely she didn't scream anything like Brady! Now that is a real animal bite and that little latina lady bore it so much better I'd be ashamed to show my face in public if I was Brady!
Here Brady we'll kiss it and make it all better. Mama is here shhhhhhh it's okay shhhhhhh

Update !!!!!
http://www.usatoday.com/life/television/news/2007-10-11-dangerous-adventures_N.htm
Pythons are known for crushing their prey, but they also bite. And a python bite keeps on giving: Some of its razor-sharp teeth break off, and months can pass before they make their way out of the wound.
So says reptile expert Brady Barr, whose terrifying run-in with a 12-foot reticulated python in a dark, bat-infested Indonesian cave is featured Sunday on the National Geographic Channel's Dangerous Adventures (10 p.m. ET/PT).
"It's always a good day when you have a snake tooth pop out of your leg," Barr said cheerfully this week, hours after one of his attacker's teeth had done that.
Its just gets better and better, LOL !

Another amazing thing. At first Barr said the snake was 7 feet, now he says it was 12 feet.
Some folks here have said it was 14 or 15 feet.
The snake in the photos looks to be 5 or 6 feet at most.
I wonder if Brady is a fisherman ?????? (some here will know what I mean).

John... LOL, You crack me up... Barr fight thats a classic.... and yeah, i do believe it was most likely a 7-8 ft snake judging from the looks of things... And Alex I totally agree, he screamed like a little girl as he tried to run from it.... I couldn't stop laughing... Im not saying that it didn't hurt but my god man, gain some composure and self respect, instead of turning it into a drama.... I agree with many others here in that I find it hard to see him as any kind of real herpetologist. Between his handling methods and other precautions (or lack there of) that he takes. I wonder if hes gonna scream and cry like that next time he sees a snake. HA!
Thanks- Eric
