Greg, it looks like a nifty new book, however, what does it have about a leucistic cottonmouth ?
Best Regards JohnZ

If anyone is interested. My good friend and main source of advice when it comes to snakes (venmous and all) Has been producing leucistic cottonmouths for several years now. The one pictured on the above link is one of his. Here is a link to his add on kingsnake.com
http://market.kingsnake.com/detail.php?cat=40&de=547105
or just look on classifieds , venomous under name of
"Terry Vandeventer"
P.S. To webmasters. I know this forum is for advise not for plugging wears. But they are beautiful animals and there are pictures available if any snake folks are interested. Terry has been a good friend to me and shared a lot of advise with myself and many an aspiring herper young and old.
Thank You

i talked with terry about these. they are something i would love to have, but they are well out of my price range. i was hoping to perhaps work out something on some possible hets, but i think his asking price is too high. he may have went down, but when we talked, he wanted 500 for a pair of poss hets. seems like too much of a gamble. comparing them to say boas. if you pay 500 for a pair of poss het boas and they do not pan out to be het, you can still produce 20 normal boas per year and get around 50/each on the babies. you will earn your money back on the investment. if one pays 500 for a pair of poss het western cottons and they do not pan out, you are breeding snakes that you will not be able give away. i certainly hope the pricing adjusts to where i can afford to get into this line soon.
