snake indentification

I found this on another forum. The individual is in Thailand and wonders if this snake is venomous and what they should keep their eye out for. Its a beautiful snake but I posted it didn't look venomous but possibly rear fanged and referred them to you guys.

Ian, as far as what snakes they should keep an eye out for, send your friend to this site:
http://www.siam-info.de/english/snakes_poisonous.html
It lists the venomous snakes of Thailand, and has fairly good photos of many of them.

Yep, it is unfortunate that towns in the US do not have names like Phuket, LOL !
Me thinks the folks in Siam have a better sense of humor than most American folks.
