Hi Everyone,
My main opponent in the Holiday Inn competition appears to have begun his last ditch run to overtake me, and has piled on 485 votes in the last two hours - at which rate he will overtake me in about 3-4 hours time.
I do not want people to cheat by using multiple fake email addresses or to do anything else that might be considered cheating or unfair, but I would encourage people who are yet to vote, or who have friends yet to vote, to make a start on it NOW!
Voting ends in about 9 hrs 30 minutes from now.
Go to http://www.holidayinneverydayheroes.com/readmore.aspx?id=57&page=1 and register your email address, then wait for a confirmation email to arrive from the site. When that comes in, click the link and go back to my entry to cast your votes (you can award up to 5 medals)...
There may be a gap of 1200 votes now but that will be gone in 3-4 hours if we don't start clawing back the gap.
No matter how it turns out, thank you all for your help.

The Aussies and Kiwis are in bed now so it is up the the Europeans and Americans to make sure Dave wins this contest

I just voted and kicked David`s score up to 10,957.
Hopefully, he will win, as he sure deserves the win for his work, and would be a great spokesman for the venomous reptile community.
One of my friends just tried to vote, and the site seems to be closed down. Perhaps the voting is over ? Kind of difficult to tell with that international time thing, but folks who have not voted should keep trying to register !

It looks like my vote that kicked David`s score up to 10,957 was the last one entered before the contest was closed, and that 10,957 is the final number.
If this is the case, David has won by a few hundred votes over the eye doctor.
The site now seems to be closed, and hopefully will open again soon and list him as the winner.

That's good to hear; we'll have to wait and see. I know I was able to get a big Chicago contingent to vote for David. Please keep us posted.
